This article, which argues that the most fundamental problem with Samsung's software experience is that it relies on other companies' OSes and therefore can't create an Apple-like software experience, sounds like a call to ditch Android, Google, and Windows and create its own OS.
No, Samsung can develop better software based on Android like other Android brands (including excellent interaction and animation), but Samsung needs to boldly recruit European and American employees, and it is best to poach Apple designers instead of relying solely on South Korea Local designers do these things.
Your mention "Fool" feels uncomfortable to me since there are a few colleagues who moved to Z Flip series from iPhone in my office actually and you want to say they are fool?
If you noted the design of OS, well, I can agree at some points but in functional ways, I doubt iPhone is better than One UI.
I'd rather say, Samsung have to "LEARN" good points of iPhone, not "COPY".
And based on your opinion, if Samsung copy exactly same design in H/W and S/W from Apple, do you think this increases Samsung's market share? I can address it won't.
We cannot deny there is a serious gap in brand image and I even don't know why this happens but at least, it seems it was not caused by Samsung's product quality.
Although I agree with some points you made (none of them are new btw), "Samsung is in joepardy in South Korean market" is a just pure nonsense. It's just as naive as the Richard Nixon's bet on China that China will eventually be democratized. Young people may choose iPhone over Galaxy for its trendiness, but many of them also "flip" to Galaxy for practical reasons (e.g. call recording, accessible repair services, etc.) when they start to make money. Things are very different in Korea from China.
I also agree that the overall youth from all across the globe prefers iPhone more than Samsungs or any other Android, due to the fact that iPhones and iOS provides a more stronger "walled garden" experience over Samsung or any other Android manufacturers.
However, I do not think Samsung will go down without a fight. While the general youth population prefers iPhones, many of them gravitates back(?) to Samsungs and Android as they grow older due to some of the exclusive features that Samsung phones offer, which is call recording.
Many businessmen and those operating their personal businesses mention this feature as a life saver, and unless Apple can come up with a similar feature, I believe the market share for younger people using iPhones will slowly but surely gravitate towards Android as they get older.
Many of younger Korean youths start off a bad experience with Samsung as their parents offer their children with more budget friendly, poorly specced A series of Samsung phones, which gives youths a negative perception that Samsung phones have bad hardware / software.
I believe this issue can somewhat be resolved if Samsung can somewhat diversify their flip lineup, which are attracting more younger generations compared to their contemporary "S" series. Younger folks, except those that are particularly tech savvy, do not really care about benchmarks or camera zoom or lens performances.
Poor battery life may become an issue, which I am sure will improve through a larger front screen along with battery stacking technology / efficiency in SoC and software integration.
Samsung is in a tough situation, but everyone in the Android region is struggling against the ever increasing demand of iPhones among younger generations.
