Verizon may have shouted "first" on the 5G switch, but AT&T has a 5G announcement of its own to make today. It just unveiled what it says is the first commercially available 5G device.

It is a Netgear Nighthawk 5G Mobile Hotspot, and we are getting giddy just thinking of the speeds that this little guy will deliver in areas where AT&T's 5G network goes live in a few weeks from now.
