아래 모뎀얘기 나와서 적지만 저도 지금까지 쭉 엑시노스 5400 모뎀이 S24 엑시버전에 최초로 탑재된줄 알고있었는데..

얼마전 레딧에서 한 유저가 정정 하더라고요 그래서 몇마디 주고 받았는데 S24 엑시버전에 사용된 모뎀은 엑시 5153라고 하더군요,

S24 and S24 Plus uses a downgraded version of Exynos Modem 5400 based off the modem logs where several modem features are unavailable/missing.

No currently released phones use Exynos Modem 5400 other than the Google Pixel 9 series.

It sits between 5300 and 5400. It is not exactly 5300 and not exactly 5400 either.

It is quite different actually. Samsung deviated from publicly available, consumer modems starting with the Exynos versions of the S22 and S22 Plus. It is not just your typical integrated vs external modem anymore.

S21 and S21 Plus were using the same modem as the Pixel 6 series but different revisions (A vs B) of them. They are not too different from each other in terms of performance and modem capability.

S22 and higher are customized, specialized modems with stripped out features within the hardware level.

It still has the same TDD and FDD bands of just about any other modem like the Qualcomm X75 but the modem features that make up the Exynos Modem 5153 which is built into the S24 and S24 Plus as part of the Exynos 2400 SoC are drastically different from the Exynos Modem 5400.

I have been privately testing out Exynos Modem 5400 and Exynos Modem 5153 with Metaswitch Networks in the United Kingdom, and Exynos Modem 5400 is just a lot better by a huge mile, delivering substantial downlink and uplink capabilities when combined with multiple masts based on Ericsson's efficient 5G technology alongside various carrier aggregation combinations. Exynos Modem 5400 also has satellite communication support whereas the Exynos Modem 5153 completely misses it.

Most of the United Kingdom's achievement award tests are done solely on Exynos phones with 100+ fleet of cars and over 600K tests with Exynos S23 and Exynos S24 phones strapped onto each of these vehicles.

이쪽 계열 직원인거 같은데 신뢰도가 확실하진 안지만 만약 이게 사실이라면 S24 엑시판에서도 존재하는 모뎀문제가 어느정도 여기에 답이 있는거고 또한 이번달 픽셀 9에서 최초로 탑재되는게 맞는거겠죠, 성능이 어떨지는 나와봐야 아는거지만 또한 사실이라면 지난 3년동안 모뎀으로 쭉쓴 픽셀이기 때문에 지켜볼만은 합니다.
